Are you ready to go deeper into the word of God and grow as a disciple of Christ? Have you thought about attending a Bible study? Maybe you have been attending a Bible study and would like to take the next step and lead a study, but you are not sure where to begin. Start at the Well.
The Well is a women’s discipleship and training ministry. Susie Walther, president and founder of the Well, began the ministry with the goal of helping women become disciples of Jesus Christ. Women from all denominations learn and grow in their personal walk with God with opportunities to develop leadership skills through Bible study and mentoring. Bible studies are held in women’s homes across the Tampa Bay area and via Zoom for social distancing purposes.
The Well has plans for a centralized facility and has purchased land for its new home. The organization recently closed on a site with two buildings and almost 2 acres of land. The structures will need to be renovated before future training sessions can be held at the new location. The training building will be a 6,000 square foot training campus that will accommodate a group meeting space and smaller rooms for Bible studies and prayer groups. The smaller 2,500 square foot structure will be their child watch building, where children are supervised by trained staff and can safely play while moms, grandmothers, and caregivers learn more about the gospel, the kingdom of God, and discipleship.
Special leadership training sessions are held throughout the year online until the new facilities are ready. Participants learn strategies on how to cultivate discipleship through a Bible study or group platform. Practical techniques are taught that can encourage women in their walk with God and how to impact other women for Christ.
