The Clearwater Lady Bombers, a Ladies Fastpitch Softball organization, first began in 1989. Their mission is to “provide the finest teaching, opportunities, recognition, and competition required to attain college scholarships.” Over 230 former Lady Bombers have played or are playing softball at the collegiate level.

The team is headed to the USSSA Elite Select tournament on May 11-13 in Michigan and is looking for sponsors. The non-profit organization is self-funded with the help from sponsors. Businesses get tax breaks and recognition for helping young ladies in the community.

The Clearwater Lady Bombers consist of 10 teams ranging from 8 year olds to 18 year olds. Players learn dedication, commitment, team work, and good sportsmanship – all keys to success both on and off the field.

In addition to Michigan, upcoming tournaments are held across Florida, in Georgia, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Missouri, and more. For more information about this organization, go to http://www.ladybombers.com/index.cfm.
